Let's say you have a hat worth 20 buds. You want to sell it for a reasonable price close to B/O so we'll say 18 pure buds. Then you see this lovely trade here. I demand that you lower your price by at least 80% before offering it to me. If you don't, I shall report your life to god (whichever one suits your fancy). For the sake of this example, let's say you comply with this demand and offer it to me for 3.6 pure buds. I then laugh at you calling you a highballing nublet for offering so much and post a counter-offer of about 1/4 of the latest price.

Conclusion:
For that 20 bud hat you have, I'll end up offering .9 Buds for it.

Aftermath:
If you happen to sell me said 20 bud hat for .9 Buds, wait about 30 seconds. You shall see that same hat being the star of a new trade that I just made with a B/O of 25 Buds and damning all lowballers to purgatory, hell, Detroit, etc.
